Since re-commissioning Skimmer in 2003, Capt. Tommy Moore provides a truly unique nature tourism experience. Capt. Tommy has been in the Aransas area for over 30 years. His knowledge of the area, the incredibly abundant wildlife, and the rich history of Aransas Bay gives his customers a perspective of the area that goes unmatched. Specializing in whooping crane tours and dolphin tours, you will have a blast! You can also hire Capt Tommy to do a private tour which is great for little ones. We highly recommend renting a golf cart while you’re in town, also provided by Capt. Tommy!
Rockport Public Beach
We are so proud to be Texas’ first Blue Wave beach! That means the beach has met national criteria for health, cleanliness, safety and ecologically sound practices. They are litter free, have gentle swimmable waters, and access to public restrooms. Go Rockport! You’ll find palapas to catch some shade along with hermit grab highways and seagulls lining the waters. BBQ pits are available on a first come first serve basis and at the end of the beach you’ll find the saltwater pool.
Airboat with Capt. Dylan Ramzinsky
One of our personal favorite activities is going on an airboat ride. Go out for a little bit of fishing and shelling- they know where to find the big ones! Dylan will do full days, mornings, and even an afternoon ride for those who want to catch the sunset.
